Your home is equipped with one of two types of water meter. You will have either a radio-read water meter, read early in the month that collects readings at midnight on the last day of the month, or you have an older analog meter that is read by a walking Meter Reader using an outside remote touch read device. We read your meter using our touch read equipment monthly on the weekend closest to the first day of the month. This will vary if the weather is uncooperative, especially in winter.
We are upgrading all of our meters to a radio-read meter that can be read from the street. This is a multi-year project we began in 2020 and should be completed late in 2022 or early in 2023, barring some delay.
Once all the meters within the District are read we transfer those readings from our hand held reading devices into our billing computer and print billing statements. Your statement is mailed between the 10th and 15th of the month.
We also offer email billing statements. If you would like to receive your monthly statement via email, just send us an email from your account to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Payment is due by the end of the month. Accounts not paid by the end of the month are subject to at $15.00 late payment fee and/or termination of service.
